Murmly ("we", "our", "the app") is a sleep and relaxation sounds application. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
1Data We Collect
Murmly does not collect any personal information. There are no user accounts, no login, and no registration required.
All app data — including your preferences, downloaded sounds, and playlists — is stored locally on your device using SQLite and local file storage.
2Third-Party Services
Murmly uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase / Firestore: Used to serve the sound catalog (metadata only). No personal data is sent to Firebase.
- Google AdMob: Displays advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat: Manages in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat processes purchase data through Apple/Google and may collect anonymous identifiers. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymous usage data (e.g., which sounds are previewed or downloaded) to help us improve the app experience. No personally identifiable information is collected. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
- Firebase Crashlytics: Collects anonymous crash reports and diagnostics to help us improve app stability. No personal information is included. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
3Permissions
Murmly requests the following permissions:
- Internet: To download sounds and display ads.
- Foreground Service: To continue playing audio when the app is in the background.
- Notifications: To show playback controls in the notification area.
- Wake Lock: To prevent the device from sleeping during audio playback.
- App Tracking Transparency (iOS): To request permission before tracking for personalized ads.
4Data Storage & Deletion
All user data is stored locally on your device. When you uninstall Murmly, all local data is automatically deleted. You can also clear the audio cache at any time from the app's settings.
5Children's Privacy
Murmly does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.
6Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
